I bought a Whistles dress online during Covid, as I do love them. They waited weeks before I sent them an e mail asking why my dress hadn't arrived and why they hadn't let me know. Their online customer care team is made up of robots with no brain. They sent me 5 replies saying that unfortunately my dress wasn't in the warehouse and this isn't their fault as they reimbursed me the amount (eventually after I prompted them). So I sent response after response saying my complaint was not about that. It was about the fact that they hadn't bothered to let me know until I sent the e mail. Same response back - we didn't have it in the warehouse etc etc etc you get the picture. I gave up and will NEVER shop there again after years of buying their dresses.
Unlike others I think the customer service is decent. But the quality of the clothes has plummeted, with clothes shrinking, even in a cool wash. The style has also really gone downhill. Too many items are frumpy and the cut is poor (apart from one pair of trousers that they’ve been doing for a couple of years)

Whistles has lovely clothes but their customer service and operations are TERRIBLE! Today is a Wednesday and I placed an order on Monday of this week for one dress and a pair of sunglasses. At the time of ordering, I paid extra to receive Next Day Express Delivery (or whatever they call it) to that I could wear the items to an event on Thursday. On Tues, Whistles sent me an email to say that they could not honour the Next Day Delivery, but would be processing the order and would send it out so that I could receive it today. I waited all day for some kind of notification by text to say that they would deliver the item. Nothing. I contacted Whistles customer service who told me that they had passed the order to Hermes who would deliver the order today (Wednesday). I got home late at 8pm and was glad to see that a Whistles bag was outside my front door - very pleased and felt they swooped in at the last minute and sorted everything out. NOPE!
When I opened the parcel for me they had sent me the WRONG DRESS and the WRONG pair of sunglasses. It is so odd because the dress has a tag with the correct name of the dress. I haven't checked the tag for the sunglasses but this is VERY poor of an established brand. They're clearly hiring incompetent staff who are putting the wrong labels on to clothing and the warehouse staff are picking the wrong items.
What is the point of offering an express delivery service if you can't even honour it and when you try to send the clothes the next day, the wrong clothes are sent. I can't wear what I wanted to my event tomorrow.

Well what a miserable experience. Saw an item in the press and having never ordered from Whistles before decided to buy it. The website is advertising 10% off in exchange for subscribing to emails. Do this twice and receive 4 welcome emails but no sign of the promised discount. Spend an hour trying to contact the online chat function and are eventually told to contact customer service. Have now been on hold with them for 43 minutes so giving up. Well done on harvesting people's personal data for nothing in return and wasting my morning.
What has happened to whistles , used to be a high end brand with good customer service now it’s no better than sports direct. Returned two items of clothing, after waiting 2 weeks they refunded one item only (the cheaper piece) apparently I now have to send proof that I returned both ? You can’t talk to anybody just standard email replies. Only order if you know you are going to keep the clothes otherwise avoid. Such a shame used to be a great shop , please sort yourselves out whistles otherwise you are going to loose a lot of customers.
I wished it was possible to leave 0 stars. Ordered a cashmere sweater and received a dirty and cheap looking merino wool sweatshirt. Obviously a mistake can happen and a wrong item was shipped.
Contacted customer service and after a long back and forth we agreed for me to ship the sweater back at MY OWN EXPENSE (international shipping).
Even though I was promised a refund I am still waiting for this today. Customer service has been completely useless and sent me false promises (refund will be made).
To date I am without the sweater I ordered and without the refund. So I advise everyone to stay away from whistles. Bad logistics, bad customer service. Fraudulent business behavior. On top of this quality of products also went down big time.
Huge disappoint of a company I once loved but will sure never buy from again.
Appalling Customer Service
I'd like to echo the sentiments below about not ordering from Ireland. I'm waiting over a month for a refund - you will be hit with significant import fees and harassed by their courier on unknown numbers about not paying these fees, threatening to not deliver package etc. Their chatbot responses are scripted and do not answer questions accurately. Emails to customer service have been ignored.
Part 4: end of February and no refund from October! Scam
I contacted customer support and they had to schedule a call with me or my wife, nobody ever called.
All answers below will be fake as money were not back to me for their fault item!!
Don’t order if you don’t want to stay without money+without your order.
My jumper shrank even though I was most careful about the temperature of the water, I really dont understand it, i thought this was a very good brand
Long term Whistles customer - extremely disappointed with customer service.
Ordered an item (order 11205746), which was cancelled. Received a refund for the item only - I was not refunded for shipping fee to Australia even though the order never left the warehouse. Between 20 January 2021 and 11 February 2021 I contacted customer service several times via email, chat and (expensive) phone calls from Australia.
Each time I had to follow up and was assured the refund was with the "Finance Team"and was first on the batch to be processed and had been escalated to the "management team".
Customer service team are inept and completely incapable of managing customer expectations, unable or unwilling to resolve matters quickly or escalate and are devoid of problem solving skills. It seems to be consistent across phone, chat and email.
The "Finance team" seem incapable of processing a simple refund via Paypal.
The "management team" are non existent.
When will the shipping fee be refunded? I shouldn't have to be penalised for your refund error, let alone continually have to follow up.
My husband Jason Mulready ordered a jamper in October and they sent him a totally different one model, color to Ireland. They said they didn’t have it and should to send at least something!FOR 200 EUR got a wrong item.He paid 17.50 return postage that they said they will refund. He sent a lot of emails-promises to call back and give me a refund.
Today is 18 January-no communication, no refund.
Don’t recommend this fraud company and want to involve authorities in this matter. Scammers!!!

I ordered a sweater from Whistles on December 17 and received it on December 20, in Canada! I had no expectation of such prompt service in a pandemic and near Christmas. The sweater is beautiful and I really appreciated the quick service. I think you have to give a company some leeway during these COVID times in terms of delivery and response.
I ordered (11083973) two dresses only one was delivered. Instead I received an order that was clearly meant for someone in another jurisdiction. Whistles refused to send me the dress I ordered and paid for or refund me my money until I sent back at my own expense (to be reimbursed later) the items they sent me erroneously, even though I said they could get it collected anytime (I am not in the UK). They initially told me they didn’t have the ability to collect, then subsequently said DHL would not collect at the moment due to Covid. They could very well collect later but send me my dress now, but have chosen not to. Essentially they wanted me to pay for their mistake and were holding the dress or a refund hostage. Awful appalling customer service. Standard phrase “not our usual standard”. No attempts at sounding genuinely contrite for their error. I wrote a review on the feefo website and their reply there was that the matter was resolved. It is not so that is a lie. They still will not return my money or the dress unless I go out in the middle of the busiest season in a pandemic to forward items they mistakenly sent to me. They have not even been a little bit helpful. Live chat is not useful, won’t put you through to a manager. They don’t answer emails promptly. I see from other reviews on the website that this is not unusual - I see there is someone who had the exact number same problem. So they are also revealing the names and addresses of their customers by including the incorrect orders and invoices in their packages. So remember folks if you are going to order from whistles, they may send you the wrong order and you will have to pay for their mistake. Don’t shop there.
